Black Hole is a multidisciplinary performance conceived and directed by Sara Dziri, exploring the intersections of rave culture and North African trance traditions. Developed through research into trance practices in Egypt and Tunisia, the work transforms the stage into an immersive space between collective release, ritual and altered states.
Premiered at KANAL–Centre Pompidou in Brussels and later presented at deSingel in Antwerp.
Produced by Kunstenwerkplaats and co-produced by KANAL–Centre Pompidou, deSingel, Beursschouwburg, C-Takt, Dream City and L’Art Rue, with support from KAAP, de Brakke Grond and Goethe-Institut Cairo.

Debut album · Optimo Music
Released on Glasgow’s Optimo Music, Close to Home is a seven-track exploration of belonging, cultural in-betweenness and the shifting meanings of home. Moving across techno, trance, ambient, darkwave and orchestral textures, the album resists being reduced to a single cultural or musical identity, instead bringing Dziri’s European and North African references into a broader electronic language.
The album marked Dziri’s emergence as a producer and composer beyond the DJ booth, establishing many of the concerns that continue through her work today: hybridity, atmosphere, repetition and the space between introspective listening and collective experience. Following its release, DJ Mag included Dziri among its emerging artists to watch.
VAGUE REALITIES — 2021
EP · Lurid Music
Released on Washington DC-based Lurid Music, Vague Realities brings together North African rhythmic references, hypnotic sequencing and leftfield club electronics. Across the title track and Oasis, the record moves between slow-burning techno, psychedelic repetition and darker, more atmospheric forms of dance music.
The release includes remixes by leftfield Japanese producer Chida and UK based Man Power.
